✏️Adjust & Capture

When Force Capture is disabled, the gateway places an authorization-only hold at checkout. No money moves until you capture. If you edit the order total before capturing (adding items, adjusting shipping, etc.), the Adjust & Capture feature lets you settle the new amount against the original authorization.

How it works

  1. Order is placed with auth-only
  • The card is authorized at the checkout total. The authorized amount is stored automatically from the API response.

2. Admin edits the order total

  • A yellow warning banner appears on the order edit screen: “The authorized amount was $55.00 but the order total is now $60.00 (+$5.00).”

3. Click Adjust and Capture Payment

  • The accept.blue Payment sidebar panel shows the authorized amount and the new capture amount. Click the button to settle the updated total.

4. Order auto-completes

  • After a successful capture, the order status is automatically set to Completed and a full audit note is added to the order.

🔄WooCommerce Subscriptions

The plugin fully supports the WooCommerce Subscriptions extension for recurring billing.

How it works

  • On initial checkout, the card is tokenized and saved securely to the customer’s account.
  • Scheduled renewal payments are charged automatically using the saved token — no customer action required.
  • Customers can update their saved payment method from their My Account → Payment Methods page.
  • Subscription payment method changes (via the admin or customer) update the token immediately.

Free trial ($0) orders

When a subscription product has a free trial period, the initial order total is $0. The plugin handles this automatically:

  1. $0 authorization
  • A $0 auth-only charge is sent to accept.blue to verify the card is valid and obtain a token. No money is moved.

2. Immediate void

  • The $0 authorization is immediately reversed so nothing settles on the cardholder’s statement.

3. Token saved, subscription activated

  • The card token is saved for future renewals and the subscription is activated. The order is marked as Completed with no charge.
